Margré Mijer, the founder of ‘pure elements’ studied at the Arnhem College of Art and qualified as a graphic designer in 1994. ‘Pure elements’ has existed as an independent design bureau since 1995. As well as being a graphic designer, Margré Mijer is also a photographer and flies all over the world, both privately and in the role of airline stewardess. The many facets of her work are united in ‘pure elements’. Wonder, freedom and the continuous variation of impressions and images are the inspiration for concept and design in projects of 'pure elements', 'pure elements2be' and 'pure elements en route'. ‘Wonder’ is the key not only to Margré Mijer’s attitude to life but also to the way she works, thinks and observes as a designer and photographer.
photos by margré mijer: 'pure elementsenroute' The photographic images in 'pure elementsenroute' are about wonder and purity of details, but they are also about the beauty of apparently normal life activities that are there for the taking but overlooked by most people. It is the desire to record these moments and demonstrate their beauty that inspires Margré Mijer’s photography. Wandering around the world, viewing it through her eyes as an observer. The titles that Margré Mijer has given to the photographic moments support the images she has created or, alternatively, lead one to view them from a different angle.
